Rhinodays 2009
From January 15-17, 2009, Prof. Dr. Jochen A. Werner and his colleague Prof. Dr. Afshin Teymoortash will organize the RHINO DAYS 2009, an international symposium on nasal obstruction and balloon sinuplasty. An internationally reputed faculty and lectures held by highly reputed scientist let us expect a number of more than 200 professionals from more than 20 countries of the world. The participants will mainly be ENT specialists and somnology experts, allergologists, and maxillofacial surgeons.
The program of the meeting will be divided in several blocks. First there will be discussions on different topics like the pathophysiology and etiopathogenesis of nasal obstruction. Additional topics are the diagnostic strategies, surgical and non-surgical treatment of nasal obstruction, neoplasms of the nasal cavity and the paranasal sinuses causing obstructive symptoms. Special attention will further be paid to spleep apnea syndrome, difficult situations, and allergologic topics.
All topics will be handled in the context of key note lectures, free paper sessions, poster presentations, round tables as well as case presentations and discussions with the auditory.
Three courses will be integrated in the symposium. Two hands-on workshops are addressed to the international auditory. The first one is dedicated to the topic of digital volume tomography and will be held on January 17, 2009, from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm. The second course will be the 5th international workshop on balloon sinuplasty, held on January 17, 2009, from 1.00 to 6.00 pm. The number of places is limited for all workshops, so pre-registration is required. The third workshop on radiation protection will take place on January 15 and 16, 2009, from 3.00 to 7.00 pm on both days. This course is mainly organized for German participants who want to renew their radiation protection certificate.
During the symposium, there will be the possibility to visit the industrial exposition that is integrated in the premises of the meeting. Participants will have the opportunity to inform themselves about newest developments in the treatment of nasal obstruction.
